5 Riddles
30. June 2010 by admin.
THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST FIVE RIDDLES I HAVE SEEN….RIDDLE 5 IS AMAZING… ENJOY…THIS SHARPENS THOSE GENES IN YOUR BRAIN AND STALLS ALZHEIMER’S FOR YEARS….
1. A murderer is condemned to death. He has to choose between three rooms. The first is full of raging fires. The second is full of assassins with loaded guns. The third is full of lions that haven’t eaten in 3 years. Which room is safest for him?
2. A woman shoots her husband. Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes. Finally, she hangs him. But 5 minutes later they both go out together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together. How can this be?
3. What is black when you buy it, red when you use it, and gray when you throw it away?
4. Can you name three consecutive days without using the words Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday?
5. This is an unusual paragraph. I’m curious as to just how quickly you can find out what is so unusual about it. It looks so ordinary and plain that you would think nothing was wrong with it. In fact, nothing is wrong with it! It is highly unusual though. Study it and think about it, but you still may not find anything odd. But if you work at it a bit, you might find out. Try to do so without any coaching!
If you would like to know the answers, you will need to leave a comment indicating you want the answers. This is the only way I wil be able to judge the intelligence of the people that read this.

The Stairs
29. June 2010 by admin.
I receive 100’s of emails daily mainly because I am on so many lists of people who want to sell me something. I stay on their lists because I study the subject heading to see what methods or ideas they are using to get me to open their email.
I opened one this morning that was fun to view as well as entertaining as well as thought provoking. The one thing about us humans, we all have choices. Even choosing not to choose is a choice.
Most of us hate to exercise and it just doesn’t fit into our busy lifestyle. Now if exercise was more fun and it fit in to our everyday routine, perhaps we would exercise more. This concept can be applied to other activities as well.
Why do we have so many poor people in the world? I believe it is partly because they just don’t know any different; they lack the education to pull themselves up.
Perhaps they lack the motivation to expend the energy required to take inspired action. Perhaps outside forces want to keep them that way. After all it is much easier to control an ignorant person than a knowledgeable person. Back to my email.
Go to http:GaryGile.com/stairs.wmv to view the short video I looked at and let me know what ideas it gives you.
Note: In the FireFox browser the video opens immediately. For Internet Explorer you need to select “Open” when the message screen shows up, another good reason to use FireFox instead of Internet Explorer.

From a Texan
23. June 2010 by admin.
I receive many emails and some of them are about how our country, the U.S.A., is bending over backward to appease minorities, especially immigrants. They are tired of our country selling out to minorities, especially illegal immigrants.
I have never witnessed such uproar with more and more people taking some sort of action to bring back the pride of being an American and restoring the values we have lost over the past 100 years. The below story says it very well and I am honored to share it with you.
***********
From A Texan:
My great grandfather watched as his friends died in the Civil War, my father watched as his friends died in WW I and WW II, and I watched as my friends died inVietnam. None of them died for the Mexican Flag. Everyone died for the U.S. flag.
Just this week, here in Texas, a student raised a Mexican flag on a school flag pole; another student took it down. Guess who was expelled…the kid who took it down.
Kids in high school in California were sent home this week on Cinco de Mayo because they wore T-shirts with the American flag printed on them. Enough is enough. The below e-mail message needs to be viewed by every American; and every American needs to stand up for America.
We’ve bent over to appease the America-haters long enough. I’m taking a stand. I’m standing up because the hundreds of thousands who died fighting in wars for this country, and for the U.S. flag can’t stand up.
If you agree, stand up with me. If you disagree, please let me know. I will gladly remove you from my e-mail list. And shame on anyone who tries to make this a racist message.
A Map Of My Country:
Let me make this perfectly clear!

THIS IS MY COUNTRY! And, because I make This statement
DOES NOT
Mean I’m against immigration!!!
YOU ARE WELCOME HERE, IN MY COUNTRY!
Welcome! To come through legally:
1. Get a sponsor!
2. Get a place to lay your head!
3. Get a job!
4. Live By OUR Rules!
5. Pay YOUR Taxes!
And
6. Learn the LANGUAGE like immigrants
have in the past!!!
AND
7. Please don’t demand that we hand over our lifetime
savings of Social Security Funds to you.
If you don’t want to forward this for fear of offending someone,
Then YOU’RE PART OF THE PROBLEM!
When will AMERICANS STOP giving away THEIR RIGHTS???
We’ve gone so far the other way…
bent over backwards not to offend anyone.
But it seems no one cares about the
AMERICAN CITIZEN that’s being offended!

WAKE UP
If You agree…. Show this to Your Friends.

Song of the Birds
22. June 2010 by admin.
I am in the process of updating my WordPress version. With this current version I am unable to add a .pps file so that the music and pictures both work. So if you want to see a very beautiful presentation a friend sent to me, you will first need to visit http://1.blogbygary.com/archives/474.
Then you will be asked to click on a link which will take you to the presentation.
Sorry about the extra steps. For those who do take the extra 12 seconds, you will be thankful you did.
Gary
PS: The audio only seems to work in my FireFox browser. My Internet Explorer browser doesn’t have the beautiful bird sounds. This being a Microsoft power point slide show you would think it would work in Internet Explorer. Go figure.
If anyone knows how I can make it work in IE, please let me know.
