The Instant Gratification Society
11. February 2010 by admin.
I swore I would not look at another MLM business that would require being on some form of monthly autoship or monthly purchase to be eligible for commissions.
Well, since a friend from Australia sent me information on company X, I decided to at least look at it.
I am telling you about this for one main reason, some of the statements made in the video I watched.
The woman, a diamond distributor, stated that since we are an “instant gratification” society, our company is doing very well. Boy, did she hit the nail on the head, which is why our society is in the state it is.
Our government is providing more and more free handouts to the less fortunate (aka instant gratification to those unwilling to take care of themselves). NOTE: Some people do need help to get them back on their feet, but is this the role of government? Not according to the Constitution and Bill of Rights, the original versions.
Our pharmaceutical companies offer chemicals to instantly, or almost instantly, cure what ails us, or at least hide the symptoms for a while.
We have fast food joints on almost every corner to provide instant food, if you are brave enough to call it food.
We have less than desirable people of questionable character willing to provide us with drugs to make us instantly “feel good”.
We have companies providing us with tobacco, alcohol, and other stimulates to help deaden our system, help us forget our problems, or give us an added boost to keep us going.
When one looks to things to provide them with “instant changes”, that person becomes the slave to those “things”. So my question to you is, “Do you want to be a slave or a free person?” After all, the choice is yours, isn’t it.
Of course “instant” is the way of less effort, which may account for the fact that one in three people in the world is overweight and one in ten are obese.
The first step in change is to admit that change is necessary. If you like “an instant world” then continue as you have and die a long slow agonizing death.
If you admit change is necessary and you are willing to do something about it then get educated and then take massive action to change YOU.
