Did You Know?
13. January 2010 by admin.
Today is my Mom’s birthday. She is 86 years young. Her main issue is that she worries all the time (she even worries about me - don’t know why).
She asked me how I felt about the earthquake. I replied, “What earthquake?” I guess I need to get out more.
Mom mentioned that she was worried about the people, etc. caught in the quake. I responded with “What and who have you helped by worrying about them?” She said, “I guess no one.” So I replied, “Then why worry? If worrying only does harm to the person doing the worrying and since nothing good results in worrying, then why do it?” She began to see my point.
Worry causes stress and stress causes illnesses. Use your energies to accomplishing more important tasks like reading my blogs.
OK, now on to my post for today. Since it is Mom’s birthday, I am posting the contents of an email she and my step Dad sent me on Tuesday. I think they sent it for it’s religious overtones. I am posting it because it points out a very important concept we all need to be aware of and to TAKE MASSIVE ACTION to do something about before it is too late.
The silent majority in America need to speak out. Enough of the few, like the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) trying to destroy our country. To me it has nothing to do with being religious or not, of believing in a higher power or not. It does have everything to do with the Rights of Mankind and respecting and honoring documents that were written to give mankind the rights to govern their lives as they choose as long as it does not infringe on the rights of their neighbors to the same freedoms. These rights are for all mankind wherever they live.
I am speaking of the 10 Commandments, the Golden Rule and the US Bill of Rights. Ok, here it is:
