I was there, but I got left behind
10. February 2009 by admin.
I am reading an article on Googling Social and this struck me: “Things are about to change forever right now and you can choose to be a part of it or you can choose to say ‘I was there, but I got left behind!’”.
Actually I believe this has been true throughout history to some extent. I say “some extent” because thanks to modern technology and the computer age things are changing much faster and in more directions than ever before. Don’t be one of the many that say “I was there, but I got left behind.”
Despite our current weak economy, the possibilities of creating wealth for you and your family is boundless. However, you must be open to receiving the unlimited opportunities all around you.
We are in the Information Age, an age where we share ideas and help others grow. As we help others grow by sharing our knowledge we grow as well. It’s one of those win-win situations.
You don’t need to be a rocket scientists or an Einstein to make a difference. Average people with above average desire to add value to the lives of others are making enriched lives for themselves.
However, nothing happens until you take action. The greatest minds in the world are of little value if their knowledge is not shared with others. And the smallest of ideas can affect the outcome of many lives when put into action.
Even a homeless person living in back alleys can cause a ripple that can improve the lives of thousands. Have you ever noticed how you felt when a stranger passed you with a humongous smile that somehow warmed your soul the rest of the day? That is adding value. If this stranger continued to flash that great big smile to everyone he/she met every day, I would be willing to bet that not only would the lives of the receivers be changed, the person smiling would forever be a changed person as well.
OK, so the first thing you need is a plan of action to begin your changed life. The next thing you need is to apply that plan and to never stop. Yes it is as easy as that and yet it is also one of the hardest things you will ever do. I say this because most people, 97% from past studies, will never take the time to write out a plan of action and then take action on the plan.
Will you be part of the 3% or the 97%? It’s your choice and your move.
