Special Quotations

I love it when a quote fits very well with what I am attempting to say.  The following quote does just that:

“Consciously or unconsciously, every one of us does render some service or other. If we cultivate the habit of doing this service deliberately, our desire for service will steadily grow stronger, and will make, not only our own happiness, but that of the world at large.”  Mahatma Gandhi 1869-1948, Indian Political and Spiritual Leader

What amazes me even more is when I get a quote from someone who lived many years ago and their message fits so well in today’s world.  Here are some other examples (yes, I collect quotations.)

“Make your work to be in keeping with your purpose.”

“I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do.”

“Iron rusts from disuse; stagnant water loses its purity and in cold weather becomes frozen; even so does inaction sap the vigor of the mind.”

“It had long since come to my attention that people of accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them.  They went out and happened to things.”

“There are three classes of people: those who see, those who see when they are shown, those who do not see.”

 - The above 5 quotes are from Leonardo da Vinci, the renowned Italian painter, sculptor and engineer.  1452-1519

Wow, I’m not sure if anything else needs to be said today.  When you apply those 6 quotes to your daily life, your life will change forever.
