Two Types of People
1. September 2008 by admin.
There are basically two types of people, those who strive for greatness by giving back to the universe by helping others and those who have given up on life and just accept whatever the universe gives them, accepting whatever they get and saying that’s all I can expect.
So you see, there is no difference between people based on color, religious beliefs, sex, age, or political beliefs. We are either alive or the walking dead. We either strive to share with others our knowledge and experience or we sit back and feel sorry for ourselves.
We are either self-employed or we work for someone else. Now I had better expand on that a bit. You see, it is possible to work for someone else and still be self-employed or at least have the self-employed mind set. By that I mean always work 100% for the company you are with, as if you were working for yourself. Too many of us do the minimum required to get by each day and then wonder why we aren’t moving ahead or worse yet, resigning to believing that we will never and can never get ahead.
The reason why I am writing this is because I just watched a short video about a man who has every reason in the world to just give up and feel sorry for his fate in life (actually there is no such thing as fate except the fate that we create for ourselves). Yet he chose a different path, a path that few would choose to walk.
You see, as human beings we have choices and it is the ability to choose that makes us special and unique. We also must take responsibility for where we are in life because it is the choices we made or did not make that has brought us to where we are in life today.
The good news is that we can choose today to begin on a new path. We can choose to make our life better by enriching the lives of those around us. You see, if you always focus on just you, you will struggle. When you focus on others and helping to make their life more enriched your life will be enriched. It’s interesting how that works and it always works, 100% of the time, guaranteed.
You can watch the short video at http://www.searchbigdaddy.com/sbd/withoutlimbs.html . However, I will caution you: Do not watch it if you insist on holding on to all of your excuses as to why you can’t make your life better. This short video will take away all of your sorry excuses. If Nick can make it in life all of the rest of us surely can. And Nick is making it and Nick is making a difference.
Choose today to make a difference, no matter how small, in one other person’s life and you will grow taller. It can be as simple as smiling at a stranger or telling a friend how much you appreciate having him/her as a friend.
Let me know how it makes you feel. When you choose to make a difference you will be on your road to success for true success is not about money or fame or power, it is about being happy and loving yourself for who you are. The other riches will come only to the degree that you become.
Too many people say, “As soon as I have more money, I will be happy” “As soon as I get a better job and am making more money I will be able to buy the things I need to loose weight, be healthier, be happier, etc.” We tend to forget the wise ancient saying of “We must become, then do, before we can have.”
Be the person you want to be. Then do the things that need to be done in order to continue to be that person. You will then have all that you can imagine and more.
Funny how life is isn’t it. Most of us want everything handed to us and then we will consider giving back to the universe what little we think the universe deserves. The laws of the universe just don’t work that way. Just like you can’t expect to step off the top of a twelve story building and expect to not get hurt, unless you take some kind of action to counter the law of gravity; you can not expect to have success without taking some kind of action to work with the law of attraction.
