Putting the Finishing Touches on My Website, Mostly
Posted By admin On 18. September 2009 @ 20:02 pm In Living | No Comments
Well, I spent much of my day adding to my main website at [1] http://ExperienceHappinessNow.com.
My next goal is to get some articles out to the world to make my website more search engine friendly. You will notice that I am also adding them to my blog as blogs get noticed quicker than websites.
Actually, I never thought of structuring a website like that recommended in “[2] Online Affiliate Income.” The suggestion is for sites with 10 or fewer pages. I currently have 10 so I had better stop there. It has been fun, or perhaps at least interesting, setting this up. Now if only it works. I’ll let you know.
I just re-read the directions and realized I did one thing wrong. On some of my pages I referred back to my home page with the list of the over $1,500 in bonuses. I will fix that so the bonuses are listed on each of those pages. Luckily I am getting the hang of using MS Front Page.
Well, I just found another slight error. In doing the keyword research, I need to do it for each page to make them more relevant. That is going to take some time and I’m not excited about doing that and I will anyway. If I am going to make this work, I need to follow the plan.
How to create each page of your affiliate website:
Each page must accomplish 3 things –
1. provide information people are searching for. Use the results of your keyword searches.
2. Build trust in your knowledge and expertise
3. Gently lead your visitors towards visiting your affiliate sites.
The program goes into much more detail on each item.
It’s getting late and I still have to get my articles out. I will post the first one on my blog shortly.
